Transportation should never stand in the way of safety.
15,298 domestic violence calls were made to San Diego law enforcement in 2024. That’s 41 calls a day. Without transportation, getting to safety can be nearly impossible.
Domestic violence survivors deserve more than an escape — they deserve a future. Our program, Journey to Safety, provides exactly that, and today, it needs your help.
We have had the privilege to help 341 survivors of domestic violence since 2023 through our Journey to Safety program. This program covers gas vouchers, airfare, rideshares, bus and train tickets, hotel stays, and food so survivors can get to medical care, legal support, law enforcement, or a safe place.
For #GivingTuesday, we are asking for your help to keep this life-saving program alive. Right now, these funds have been drastically cut, and we need our community to step up more than ever. If you believe in second chances and safe new beginnings, please consider supporting.
